TSA: Affordable, World-Class Clay Court Facility

Ever wondered why world tennis is dominated by European and specifically Spanish players?.....they grow up and train on clay courts!

The Biggest Tennis Training Advantage Possible: The TSA Clay Court Advantage

  • Majority of tournaments in Europe (and for that matter outside of South Africa) are played on clay – if you are serious about the future, you have to include training on clay courts in your programme!
  • Greater Tactical Development: Hitting an out-right winner is more difficult on the slower surface, so strategy, shot selection and construction of the point and the rally, are better developed on clay
  • The slower bounce of the ball allows for longer rallies and improves concentration on those long, hard-to-win points – learn to stay in the point!
  • Players develop better athletic ability and balance due to longer rallies, different movement and “the slide”. Players have to develop all physical aspects (core stability, endurance, agility and speed) to succeed on a clay court.
  • Technical development : More spin and power is needed to construct points and outplay opponents and with the points being longer on clay, technical development is great on clay and players learn how to use their bodies to hit the shot required, adding more power.
